The Program for the Protection of Child and Adolescent at Risk of Death (PPCAAM) was created in 2003 by the National Secretariat for the Promotion of the Rights of Children and Teenagers. The goal was to design a book that brings the story, scenario and trajectories of the Program lightly and elegantly, quickly and at the best possible cost/benefit. All this in a context so sensitive that is the violence against children and teenagers.
One of the requirements of the project was the use of infographics. After analyzing the content, it became clear that non-figurative language would be the best way to illustrate the project. The second major question was the exploration of new ways of creating tables and graphs, choosing an infographic language, simplifying the representation of indexes and increasing efficiency in the data understanding. Finally, to reduce costs with print production, only two colors of the Pantone system were used.
